Game Level Grind Time Calculator — How to Use
Enter your current level, target level, XP per hour, and XP curve type to calculate the total XP needed and how long the grind will take. Supports both flat (linear) and scaling XP curves.
XP Curve Types Explained
Linear: every level costs the same XP. Total XP = (target − current) × base XP. Scaled: level n costs n × base XP — so level 30→31 costs 30 × base and level 50→51 costs 50 × base. Most RPGs follow the scaled pattern, causing dramatically longer grinds at high levels.
How to Measure Your XP/Hour
Play a 30-minute farming session on your best route, then double the XP gained. For a more accurate result, play one full hour without quest bonuses. Apply any active XP booster as a multiplier on top of your base rate.
FAQ
Check the game's official wiki or community databases. Many games publish full XP-per-level tables that are more accurate than an approximated curve type.
Multiply your base XP/hour by the boost multiplier. For a 50% boost, enter base_xp_per_hour × 1.5 in the XP/hour field.
Yes. Set your target level to the max level cap and the calculator will show the total grind time from your current level to the cap.
