How to Use the Gacha Pity Cost Calculator
A pity system guarantees that you receive the target item after a fixed number of pulls if it has not appeared. This calculator uses the Truncated Geometric Distribution formula to compute the expected number of pulls and cost to reach pity from your current counter.
How It Works
With n remaining pulls to pity and probability p per pull, the expected pulls = (1 − (1−p)^n) ÷ p. This formula accounts for early success before the pity cap and the guaranteed drop at the cap. The worst-case cost is the remaining pulls multiplied by the pull price — your upper spending limit.
Tips to Reduce Gacha Spending
Enter your current counter accurately to get a precise remaining cost estimate. Even with a low per-pull probability, the pity guarantee makes the true expected cost lower than the simple 1/p estimate. You can enter price in cash value or the cash equivalent of in-game currency.
