What This Fantasy Race Draw Does
Whether you are starting a freeform story night or sketching a character for fiction, settling the race first makes everything else fall into place. Pick a preferred role, set a count, press the button, and this tool assigns a fantasy race at random. Sixteen widely used races are included, from Elf and Dwarf to Orc, Dragonkin and Elemental, and you can draw up to three at once.
What The Result Shows
Each result gives the race, the role it suits, one racial trait, its usual weapon and an old rival race. Roles are split into warrior, mage, archer or scout, and support, and choosing Any role draws from all sixteen. Draw several and they come from a shuffled list, so no race repeats and you can use the set as a party straight away.
Ways To Use It
Drawing three at once gives you a party draft with roles that do not overlap. The rival race is one fixed note per entry, which makes it handy for setting up friction between characters. Traits, weapons and rivalries here are written for fun and do not follow the stats of any particular game or rulebook.
Frequently Asked Questions
No. Multiple races come from a shuffled list, so they cannot repeat within one draw. Pressing the button again starts a fresh draw.
Each race has one written in ahead of time. They are not taken from any game or rulebook, so they cannot be used for stat calculations.
Roles hold different numbers of races. When there are fewer candidates than you asked for, you get all of them and the candidate count is shown above the results.
