What This Dungeon Event Draw Does

Planning what happens in every room of a freeform story night eats up most of your prep time. Pick a difficulty and an event type, set a count, press the button, and this tool draws dungeon events at random. Twenty events are split across five types — combat, trap, treasure, encounter and riddle — and you can draw up to six at once.

What Difficulty Changes

Difficulty sets the check target and the reward multiplier. Easy is target 10 at one times the reward, normal is target 14 at two times, and hard is target 18 at three times. Each event carries a base amount of gold, the multiplier is applied to it, and the result shows both the base and the multiplier. Difficulty does not change the events themselves, and the check named in each one is only a suggestion you can swap for whatever your rules use.

Reading The Result

Each event prints its title and type, a short description, a suggested check and a suggested reward on separate lines. Draw several and they come from a shuffled list, so no event repeats and you can run them in order room by room. Everything here is written for fun and follows no published rulebook's tables.

Frequently Asked Questions

What changes when I switch difficulty?

The check target and the reward multiplier change. Easy is target 10 at one times, normal is target 14 at two times, and hard is target 18 at three times. The events themselves come from the same list either way.

Can the same event be drawn twice?

No. Multiple events come from a shuffled list, so they cannot repeat within one draw. Pressing the button again starts a fresh draw.

Where do the gold rewards come from?

Each event has a base amount written in, and the difficulty multiplier is applied to it. They follow no published reward table, so adjust them to the rules you play with.
