How to use the webinar registration and attendance rate calculator
Webinar performance resists a single number because two different stages are stacked together. Registration rate is the share of registration page visitors who signed up. Attendance rate is the share of registrants who actually joined. A weak registration rate points at the landing page, topic and offer, while a weak attendance rate points at reminder emails, time zone and calendar invites. The causes differ, so this calculator reports each one separately with its denominator written into the label.
To see both stages at once, use the end-to-end rate: attendees divided by page visitors. Leave the visitor field blank and the registration and end-to-end rows are skipped and hidden. No-shows and the no-show rate come straight from registrants minus attendees, which is also the audience size for your replay follow-up.
Attendance benchmarks swing widely with topic, price and reminder cadence, so no figure is presented as the norm here. Enter your own target rate and the calculator reports the gap in percentage points, which works well if you use your previous session as the target.
Frequently asked questions
Keep live attendance and replay views separate. Enter only live joiners in the attendee field and track replays as their own metric.
Look at both and start with the weaker one. Plenty of registrants but few attendees points to reminders and timing; few registrants points to the landing page and the topic.
