How the Firefighter Fitness Score Calculator Works
This calculator scores 5 standard firefighter fitness events on a 10-point scale each, for a maximum of 50 points. A total of 30 or more points is typically considered a passing score. Scoring a 0 on any single event results in an automatic fail regardless of total score, as departments require minimum competency in all areas.

No. Events vary by department. Common events include push-ups, sit-ups, a timed run, pull-ups, and grip strength, but some departments substitute or add events like the beep test or bench press.
If you cannot complete any pull-ups, your score for that event is 0. Depending on department rules, this may count as an automatic disqualifier or simply contribute 0 points to your total.
