This calculator takes your shift cycle (work days and days off) plus a reference date and instantly tells you whether today is a work day, and exactly when your next work day and next day off fall.
The math is straightforward: the reference date is treated as the first work day of your cycle. We calculate the number of days between the reference date and today, then find the remainder when divided by the total cycle length (work days + days off). If that remainder falls within the work-day portion of the cycle, today is a work day โ otherwise it's a day off.
Because this assumes a perfectly repeating pattern, if your actual roster changes frequently, re-enter the reference date as your most recent work start date for a more accurate result.
