🍸Random Cocktail Recommender

Pick a base spirit and flavor for a random cocktail. Ratios are not covered.

How the Cocktail Recommender Works

Choose a base spirit and the flavor you are after, press the button, and one cocktail that fits is picked at random along with other options from the same filter. It helps when a menu is long and the names alone do not tell you much. Alcohol-free drinks can be drawn on their own too, and the filter you chose is echoed on the first result row so you can see what was excluded.

No Ratios or Measurements

This tool covers the name, the base spirit, and the general flavor family of widely known cocktails, and nothing more. Ratios and pour sizes vary between recipes and between bars, so they are deliberately left out. If you plan to mix the drink yourself, look up a standard recipe from a source you trust.

How the Pick Is Made

Matching drinks are filtered first, then shuffled with a Fisher-Yates shuffle: the first becomes the recommendation and the next two are shown as other options. When only one drink matches, the other-options row is hidden, and when nothing matches, a short message appears instead.

Before You Drink

Drink only if you are of legal age, and decide your own pace. For a gathering where no one is drinking, set the base to alcohol free and draw from that list instead.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does it give recipes and ratios?

No. Only the name, base spirit, and general flavor are shown, so check a standard recipe before mixing anything.

Can I draw alcohol-free drinks only?

Yes. Set the base spirit to alcohol free and only non-alcoholic drinks are recommended.

What happens if nothing matches my filter?

A short message appears instead of a recommendation. Setting the flavor back to Anything widens the pool.
