👑Random Leader Role Picker

Fills several leader roles at once and skips last term holders

You Might Also Need

This picker chooses a group leader or class representative at random. Enter the candidate list and the roles you need, and each role goes to a different person. Type the people who held the post last term and they are taken out of the pool, which helps when you do not want the same person serving twice in a row. Candidates who end up with no role are listed too.

The pool is shuffled with a reverse Fisher-Yates pass and the first names are taken, one for each role in the order you listed them. The chance that one person ends up with some role is the number of roles divided by the size of the pool. There is no published standard for how many terms someone should sit out or how many roles a group should have, and none was confirmed in an authoritative source. Current as of October 2026.

This page does not handle tiered winner draws, counting votes, or tracking how long a term runs. A name in the last term box that is not on the candidate list is ignored and counted on its own line. Browser randomness is not a cryptographically secure source, so do not use it for legally binding elections or for any draw where money is at stake. The same person coming up again is not proof of a skewed draw.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I fill several roles in one draw?

Yes. List the roles one per line, such as group leader, deputy leader and note taker, and each role goes to a different person.

How do I leave out the people who just served?

Type their names in the last term box and keep the setting on left out of the pool. Switch it to kept in the pool to put them back.

What if there are more roles than candidates?

The page shows both counts and no result. If the shortage comes from leaving out last term holders, it says so as well.
