How to use the influencer seeding reach value calculator

There is no agreed standard for turning the reach of seeded content into a dollar figure. Every agency uses its own multiplier and platforms do not publish how they would price it. So this calculator invents no coefficient at all: it converts reach using a CPM you enter yourself. The most defensible number is the CPM your own ad account pays to reach a comparable audience.

Creators multiplied by average posts per creator gives total posts, and multiplying by average reach per post gives summed reach. That figure is an upper bound with no deduplication: wherever creator audiences overlap, true unique reach is lower.

The converted value is summed reach divided by 1,000 times your CPM. It is not money you saved, it is closer to what buying the same reach through ads would cost. Add total program spend, whether that is product cost, flat fees or both, and you also get how many times spend the value comes to and the actual CPM the program delivered, which you can compare directly against paid media. No benchmark multiple is offered here, so judge the result against your own earlier programs or your current ad CPM.

Frequently asked questions

Why is there no default CPM?

Coefficients that turn impressions into money differ by category, platform and period, and no published standard exists. A made-up default would be a number nobody could verify, so you enter your own.

Can I enter impressions instead of reach?

You can, but the labels are written for reach. Impressions count repeat views by the same person, so the total comes out higher, and mixing the two bases makes comparisons wrong.
