How to Use the Raid DPS Calculator
Enter the boss HP and enrage timer to find out exactly how much damage per second your team needs. Use the per-player figure to set guild recruitment requirements or personal improvement goals.
Formulas
Required Total DPS = Boss HP ÷ Time Limit (seconds)
DPS per Player = Total DPS ÷ DPS player count
Target DPS (buffered) = Per-player DPS × 1.2
A 20% buffer is recommended because real raids involve movement phases, cooldown windows, and deaths that reduce effective damage uptime. Aiming for a higher floor keeps your team safe from tight enrages.
Example
Boss HP 500,000,000 · Enrage 8 min (480 sec) · 8 DPS players → total DPS ~1,041,667 → per player ~130,209.
FAQ
Damage Per Second — how much damage your team deals every second. It determines whether you can kill the boss before the enrage timer.
No — only DPS roles. Including support roles makes the per-player figure misleadingly low.
Movement, skill downtime, and deaths all cut into real uptime. A 20% margin ensures a comfortable clear even when things go wrong.
