How to use the forklift and excavator practical points calculator
Operator practical tests usually start from a maximum score and subtract points for each scored fault, with a pass awarded when the remaining score reaches the passing mark. Enter the starting score, the passing score and your deductions one per line, and the tool adds them up and shows the score you have left.
Deductions are summed exactly as entered, and the remaining score is the starting score minus that total. A remaining score at or above the passing score counts as a pass, and at the boundary the room above the passing score reads 0 pts. The table shows what share of your total loss came from each item, so the costliest fault is easy to spot.
No deduction table is built in, because the items and their point values are set locally. The tool does not handle automatic disqualification items and does not predict whether you will pass a future attempt; it adds up the sheet you already have.
Frequently Asked Questions
Practical test score sheets for forklift and excavator operators are set by the examiner, employer or training provider, and they are not identical. A built-in table would produce wrong totals, so the tool uses the deductions you were actually given.
That counts as a pass. With a passing score of 60 pts, a remaining score of exactly 60 pts passes and the room above the passing score shows as 0 pts.
No. An automatic disqualification is not a point deduction, so it is out of scope. If your deductions add up to more than the starting score the tool asks you to recheck the entries.
