How to Use the PNG to JPG Converter
Select a PNG file and adjust the quality slider to instantly convert it to JPG. All processing happens in your browser — your file is never sent to any server, keeping your data completely private. PNG uses lossless compression (great for graphics with transparency), while JPG uses lossy compression (much smaller files, ideal for photos). Converting at 80–90% quality usually produces results indistinguishable from the original. Note: transparent (alpha) areas in PNG will be replaced with a white background in the JPG output.
Frequently Asked Questions
For web images, 75–85% strikes the best balance. For high-quality prints, use 90% or above. The default 85% is recommended for most use cases.
Files under 20 MB are recommended due to browser memory constraints. Very large or high-resolution images may take longer to process.
JPG does not support transparency. Any transparent (alpha) areas in your PNG will be filled with white. To preserve transparency, keep the PNG or WebP format.
