International Clothing Size Guide

Clothing size systems differ significantly across countries, making international shopping a guessing game without a reliable reference. This tool converts your body measurements to the size labels used in the US, UK, EU, Japan, and South Korea, helping you order the right size the first time.

How to Take Accurate Measurements

Chest circumference: Measure around the fullest part of your chest, just under the armpits, keeping the tape level and comfortably snug — not tight.

Waist circumference: Measure around the narrowest part of your torso, usually just above the navel. For men's trousers, this is the waist you use for the first number in a size like 32×30.

Sizing Differences by Region

US women's sizes use even numbers (0, 2, 4…) for tops and waist inches for bottoms. Men use S/M/L or chest inches for tops, and waist×inseam inches for bottoms.

UK women's sizes track US sizes but run 4 numbers higher (US 4 ≈ UK 8). Men's UK sizes are similar to US but with slight differences in cut.

EU sizes for women run from about 32 to 48; for men from 44 to 60. These are based on body measurements in centimeters, divided by 2.

JP women's sizes use odd numbers (5, 7, 9…). Men often follow the same S/M/L system or use numeric sizes similar to Korean sizing.

Frequently Asked Questions

My measurement falls between two sizes. Which should I pick?
For a relaxed fit, go up a size. For a slim or tailored fit, go down. Also check the specific brand's size chart — cuts vary widely even within the same labeled size.
Are EU and European sizes the same everywhere in Europe?
Mostly, but Italian sizing can run slightly smaller than German or French sizing for the same EU label. Always verify with the individual brand's size guide.
