How the focus log is tallied
This tool adds up focus time you logged yourself and shows how it spreads across the day. Write one line per entry with the start time and the minutes you stayed focused, and every entry is dropped into a one-hour slot from 00:00 to 23:00. The table lists the total, the number of lines and the share of all logged time for each slot, and the slot holding the most focus time is named separately. Logs from several days can be pasted together, since matching slots are summed.
The math is a plain sum: minutes are grouped by the hour of their start time, and each share is that slot divided by the overall total. No official source establishes which hour of the day is good for focus, so no reference value is built in and no morning-type or evening-type label is produced. What you see is the sum of what you entered. (As of October 2026)
Nothing is scored or ranked as good or poor, and empty slots are never filled in by estimate. With only a handful of lines the spread can tilt by chance, so collect a few days before reading much into it.
Frequently asked questions
No. No official source sets which hour of the day is good for focus. The tool only adds up the entries you supply and groups them by hour.
Yes. Matching hour slots are summed. The line count and the per-slot line count are both shown, so you can see how much data each slot rests on.
Either a number from 0 to 23 or a 24-hour form such as 09:00. Minutes are grouped into whole hours, so 09:40 lands in the 09:00 slot.
