How to use the work hours left this month calculator

Enter a reference date and the page returns how many days are left in that month, how many of them are weekdays and weekend days, and how many working days and working hours remain once your days off are subtracted. You can choose whether the reference day itself counts, and whether the weekend means Saturday and Sunday or Sunday alone, so a six-day week works too. The weekday table shows how many Mondays or Fridays are still to come.

How the numbers are produced

The last day of the month and every weekday come from coordinated universal time component arithmetic, so the figures match in any time zone, and February in a leap year is measured rather than assumed. The working hours left multiply the working days after days off by the hours in a day, rounded to one decimal only at the end. Figures are as of October 2026.

Limits and what is not covered

Counting the working days across a whole month is not covered. Public holiday lists differ by country and year and are therefore taken as input, and the page does not model shift rosters, remaining paid leave, overtime or break time.

Frequently asked questions

What changes when the reference day is counted?

That one day is added to the days left, and when it is a weekday the weekdays and working days each rise by one as well. Counting in the morning fits including it; counting after the day is done fits leaving it out.

Are public holidays removed automatically?

No. Holiday dates differ by country and by year, so no list is built in. Count how many of the weekdays left you are actually off and put that number in the days off field, and they come out of the working days.

How are the working hours left produced?

The working days after days off are multiplied by the working hours in a day, shown to one decimal. Use an average when your days differ in length; overtime and break time are not modeled.
