How to use the Holiday Break Countdown Calculator
Enter the first day of the holiday, how many days off run in a row, and the date you are counting from. The tool returns the days left until the holiday, the date the break ends, the last weekday before it and the first weekday after it, plus how many weekend days fall inside the break. Those two weekday dates show exactly when work stops and starts again.
The end date is the first day plus the days off minus one, because the first day already counts as a day off. The surrounding weekdays are found by stepping over Saturdays and Sundays, and every date is built from Coordinated Universal Time components so the result never shifts with a time zone. Current as of October 2026.
Holiday dates move from year to year, and some follow a lunar calendar, so no year-by-year table of dates is published here and the date comes from you. Observed days that shift a holiday to a Monday are not added automatically, so include them in the days off if they apply. Apart from Saturdays and Sundays, public holidays and company closures inside the span are not detected.

No. Whether a holiday is observed on another day is decided year by year, so nothing is added automatically. Include those days in the days off if they apply.
If the reference date falls inside the break, the countdown field states which day of the break it is; if the break is over, it states how many days have passed.
