Write the month, stone and flower from the source you are using, one per line, then list the names and birth months you want to look up. The tool fills a table with each person stone and flower, and also groups the people who share a month, which helps when choosing family gifts or group keepsakes or when scheduling gatherings month by month. Months missing from your list are left blank and counted separately.
Both lists split their fields on commas, and a people line reads its last field as the birth month, so a name containing a comma still works. Everything you type is placed in the table as plain text, so even input that looks like markup appears on screen as characters. Written as of October 2026.
No month-by-month birthstone or birth flower table is provided. The birthstone list has been revised several times since it was first set in 1912, individual countries keep their own versions, and the traditional and modern lists disagree, so no single official table exists. Gemstone value or grading, animal and star sign decisions, and fortune readings are all left out.
Frequently Asked Questions
The modern birthstone list was first set by the American jewellers trade body in 1912 and revised in 1952, 2002 and 2016, while Britain uses a separate list set in 1937. Traditional and modern lists diverge sharply for August and December, so no single official table exists and the values from your own source are used instead.
Birth flower lists also differ by country and by source, with no single official version. Copy the values printed in the book or page you are using, and the lookup fills the table from those values only.
Star sign and animal sign decisions are not covered here. This tool only looks up several birth months at once against the list you wrote yourself and counts the people who share a month.
