How to use the text repeater
Sometimes the same line has to appear many times over: dummy rows for a test fixture, repeated options in a questionnaire, filler rows to paste into a spreadsheet, or a sample list for a code snippet. Rather than holding down paste, type the text once, set how many copies you want and take the result from the copy button.
The number you enter is the total number of copies in the output, not an amount added on top of the original. Enter 10 and you get exactly ten copies. The separator can be a line break, a single space, a comma and space, or nothing at all, and it only appears between copies, never after the last one. Turn on numbering to prefix each copy with a number and a full stop, and change the starting value to begin at 0 or at 100 instead.
To keep the browser responsive, the count is capped at 10,000 copies and the output at 100,000 characters. When a setting would cross that limit you get a message instead of a result, so shorten the text or lower the count. Emoji and other multi-code-point characters are repeated exactly as entered, and the reported output length includes separators and numbering. Everything runs in your browser.
