How the Dessert Recommender Works
Pick what you are craving and where you will get it, then press the button: one dessert is drawn along with a drink to go with it. It is for the moment when you know you want something sweet but cannot name it. Two other options from the same filter are listed as well, so you can move to the next one if the first does not land.
Where You Get It Matters
Every dessert is tagged with the flavors it fits and the places you can get it. Choosing to bake at home leaves only the ones worth making yourself, and choosing a store leaves only what you can pick up and eat right away. The matches are shuffled with a Fisher-Yates shuffle: the first is the recommendation, the next two are the other options. When nothing matches, a short message appears instead, and when only one matches, the other-options row is hidden.
Good Times to Use It
- Sitting in a cafe still staring at the menu
- Wanting a small weekend baking project
- Grabbing one sweet thing from a store
- Choosing dessert for guests coming over
One Thing to Note
The drink is a taste suggestion rather than a rule, drawn at random from its own list. Calories and nutrition are not covered anywhere in this tool.
Frequently Asked Questions
