How to use the Business Profile views to visits calculator

A Google Business Profile can rack up views in Search and Maps and still send nobody through the door. Enter the profile views from your Business Profile performance report along with direction requests, calls and website clicks, and this calculator returns the action rate using views as the denominator, plus each action type on its own.

These actions are signals of intent, not recorded visits. Google does not tell you who actually walked in, and this calculator does not estimate foot traffic. Direction requests are the clearest visit intent, calls mix in hours and reservation questions, and website clicks lean toward people still comparing menus, services or prices.

One person can request directions and then call, so the total can exceed the view count. When that happens the rate goes above 100% and the label says so rather than silently capping the number. Reading each action separately makes it easier to tell whether photos, hours, reviews or the website link are the weak spot. Reasonable rates differ far too much by category and by search intent for a benchmark to be useful here.

Frequently asked questions

Can the action rate go above 100%?

Yes. A single profile view can produce both a direction request and a call, so the action total can exceed views. The calculator does not cap the value at 100%; it notes in the label that the total went over.

Does this tell me how many people actually visited?

No. Some people request directions and never arrive, and plenty of customers show up without ever opening the profile. Compare these numbers against your own door counts or point-of-sale data instead.
