How the expiry order is produced

Enter one item and the expiry date printed on its packaging per line. The list is sorted by days remaining, shortest first, so whatever runs out soonest sits at the top. Days remaining is the plain difference in calendar days between the reference date and the expiry date, so an item dated today reads 0. Anything earlier than the reference date is marked expired along with how many days have passed.

No list of what to keep in a home first aid kit is published here, and no medicine names, doses or uses are suggested, because needs differ from person to person and a pharmacist or physician should guide that choice rather than a generic table. Written as of October 2026.

This tool counts dates only. It does not judge whether heat or damp has spoiled something, how long an opened package stays usable, or whether a medicine is safe to take. Ask a pharmacist or physician about disposal and use.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does this page suggest what to keep in a first aid kit?

No. No list of items is published here, because what each household needs differs and a pharmacist or physician should guide that choice. Type in what you actually own and the page only orders the expiry dates.

Is an expiry date the same as a period-after-opening date?

They are different. This calculator handles only the expiry date printed on the packaging. If a separate period after opening applies, work out that date yourself and enter it on its own line.

What shows up when the expiry equals the reference date?

Days left reads 0 and the status reads last day. Any date before the reference date is marked expired together with how many days have passed.
