Lay out the end of each stage before you start

A balcony clear-out abandoned halfway leaves the place worse than it started. Enter how many minutes you expect to spend emptying, sorting, cleaning and putting things back, along with the time you plan to start, and the page returns the end time of every stage plus the overall finish once breaks are counted. It answers the practical question of whether this fits before an evening appointment.

How the numbers are worked out

Stage lengths are added to the start time in order, and from the second stage onward one break is inserted ahead of it, so the number of breaks is always one fewer than the stages you actually run. Times are shown on a 24-hour clock, with the following day noted when the plan rolls over. No officially recommended duration is offered for any stage: the work varies several times over with the size of the balcony and the amount stored, so there is nothing standard to quote. As of October 2026 the figures are purely your own estimates.

Balcony dimensions, storage capacity, cleaning products and methods are not covered here. The result is the sum of the estimates you entered, not a prediction. For products and tools, follow the product label and the manufacturer's instructions.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I decide the time for each stage?

No officially recommended duration is offered here, because a balcony can hold anything from two pots to a decade of boxes. Put in a short estimate the first time, then re-enter the time it actually took and the plan becomes far more useful.

What if I want to skip a stage?

Leave that field blank or set it to 0 and it drops out of the calculation, listed in the results as a stage left out. The finish time is rebuilt from the remaining stages only.

How are times past midnight shown?

Times use a 24-hour clock, and when the plan rolls over into the following day that is stated alongside the time. You will never see 24:00 or a minute value of 60.
