How to Plan Your Dividend Income
Dividend investing generates regular cash flow from your portfolio. This calculator lets you enter up to 5 stocks — each with its own share count, current price, dividend yield, and payout frequency — to see your total annual, quarterly, and monthly dividend income at a glance.
Annual dividend = shares × price × yield (%) ÷ 100. Quarterly payers distribute one-fourth per quarter; monthly ETFs distribute one-twelfth per month. A 15% withholding tax estimate is applied for the after-tax figure.
Dividend yields are based on the current price, so actual income will vary if prices change. For greater accuracy, use the trailing 12-month dividend per share divided by the current price.
Frequently Asked Questions
Financial sites like Yahoo Finance, Morningstar, or your broker's platform display the trailing 12-month yield. Look for "Dividend Yield (TTM)" or "Forward Yield."
Mix quarterly payers with different ex-dividend months (e.g., one paying in Jan/Apr/Jul/Oct, another in Feb/May/Aug/Nov) to create a more consistent monthly income stream.
