Sheet count is floor area ÷ (effective width × length), rounded up. Because the effective width already excludes the lap allowance, you don't need to subtract it again. Weight starts from the flat-sheet formula (thickness × 40.83 lb/ft²), then applies a corrugation allowance of about 1.3x to account for the extra surface area created by the ribbed profile, and multiplies by floor area for total weight.
Rib depth and pitch vary by product line, so the real allowance can range from about 1.2x to 1.4x.
