How to Use the Server Merge Competition Calculator
The moment a server merge announcement drops, the first question is "how much is my rank going to drop?" This calculator takes the player count and average level of both your server and the merge target, along with your current rank, to project your rank and gauge how much tougher the competition gets after the merge.
The projected rank assumes your current percentile holds after the merge. For example, ranking 150th out of 3,000 puts you in the top 5%; if the merged total climbs to 7,500, that same top-5% standing projects to roughly rank 375. Real results will vary with the actual skill distribution of the other server's players, but this gives a solid ballpark estimate.
The competition multiplier is the merged total player count divided by your pre-merge server count, showing how much fiercer the competition for content is likely to get. A multiplier near 2 means ranking content or field boss competition roughly doubles in intensity.
The merged average level is calculated too, so if the other server's average is higher, that's a signal overall content difficulty and competitiveness may rise as well. Projecting your rank and competition intensity ahead of the merge helps you plan your strategy for what comes after.
Frequently Asked Questions
We divide your current rank by your server's player count to get your percentile, assume that percentile holds after the merge, and multiply it by the merged total player count.
It's the merged total player count divided by your pre-merge server's player count. A multiplier of 2 means roughly twice as many competitors.
