How to Use the Rank Score Goal Calculator

When you're grinding ranked games, it's natural to wonder exactly how many more matches you need to hit the next tier. This calculator takes your current score, target score, average score gained per game, and average time per game, then works out the minimum number of games needed and the estimated time it will take to play them all.

Your average gain per game is a net expected value that already accounts for wins and losses together. Adding up your score swings over your last 10-20 games and dividing by the number of games gives a reasonably accurate average. Subtracting your current score from your target and dividing by that average — rounded up — gives the minimum number of games required.

If a slump has dragged your average gain down, the games and time needed will grow significantly, so it's worth recalculating periodically with your recent form. If your season has a hard deadline, comparing the estimated time here against the time remaining lets you check early whether your goal is realistic.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I figure out my average gain per game?

Add up your score changes over your last 10-20 games and divide by the number of games. That average captures wins and losses together as your net expected gain per game.

What if my average gain per game is zero or negative?

An average gain of zero or less means you can't reach your goal no matter how many more games you play, so the calculation isn't possible. Improve your win rate or play a more stable strategy to get your average gain positive, then recalculate.
