How to Use the Party Loot Split Calculator
When a party sells off gold or items from a raid or hunt, not agreeing in advance on whether to split it equally or by contribution is a recipe for friction. This calculator takes the total gold earned, party size, your contribution, and the trade fee, and works out the equal per-member split, your contribution-based share, and your final take-home after fees โ all in one place.
Contribution is entered as your percentage of the whole. In a 4-person party splitting evenly, that's 25% each; if one member clearly put in more work, enter a higher percentage for them. Factoring in the in-game trade fee or auction listing tax on top of that gives you the actual amount that lands in your inventory.
Calculating and sharing the split criteria before the run starts helps avoid arguments once the gold actually shows up. If an equal split is the default, just enter 100 divided by the party size in the contribution field.
Frequently Asked Questions
There's no single right answer โ if everyone put in roughly the same effort and role, an equal split reduces friction. If one member clearly spent more time or resources, a contribution-based split tends to feel fairer.
Enter whatever percentage is actually deducted when the gold changes hands โ in-game trade fees, auction house listing fees, or a built-in cut from the loot distribution system. Names and rates vary by game, so check that game's official notices.
