How to Use the Character Growth ROI Calculator
In RPGs and mobile games, deciding where to spend limited resources first is crucial. When multiple upgrade paths exist β weapons, armor, skills, gems β looking only at absolute power gain can be misleading. You need ROI (Return on Investment), the power gain per resource spent, to identify the truly efficient investment order.
This calculator accepts up to 5 upgrade paths with their resource costs and power gains, then automatically ranks them by ROI from highest to lowest. A higher ROI means more power gained for the same amount of resources β invest there first.
ROI Formula
ROI = Power Gain Γ· Resource Cost Γ 1,000
Enter all resource costs in the same unit (e.g., all in gold, all in gems) for a fair comparison. If mixing resource types, convert them to a common equivalent before entering.
Frequently Asked Questions
Yes, but convert them to a common unit first. If 1 gem = 100 gold, enter gem costs multiplied by 100 so all entries are on the same scale.
Equal ROI means equal efficiency. In that case, choose based on other factors like content requirements, durability, or long-term scaling potential.
