What is the Character Upgrade Efficiency Calculator?
In most RPGs and mobile games, upgrade costs rise with each stage while the power gained per stage decreases. This calculator lets you model that curve by entering the cost increase rate and power diminishing return, then identifies which stage offers the best power-per-cost ratio and calculates the total investment needed to reach your target.
Formulas
- Cost at Stage N = Base Cost ร (1 + Cost Increase%)^(Nโ1)
- Power at Stage N = Base Power ร (1 โ Power Decrease%)^(Nโ1)
- Efficiency = Power Gain รท Stage Cost
Frequently Asked Questions
Power gain stays constant every stage. Since only cost rises, earlier stages always have better efficiency.
Stopping at peak efficiency gives the best power-per-resource ratio. Later stages cost more for diminishing gains, so each upgrade is less efficient.
Check your game's upgrade material prices and the power gained per stage. For games with failure rates, use the expected cost (actual cost divided by success probability).
