How to Use the Bowling Score Calculator
Bowling scoring isn't just adding up pins — strikes and spares earn bonus points from the rolls that follow. Enter the pins knocked down in each of the 10 frames, and this calculator applies the official scoring rules to compute your exact total.
A strike (all 10 pins with the first roll) adds the pins from your next two rolls as a bonus to that frame. A spare (10 pins across two rolls) adds the pins from your next one roll. That's why earlier frames aren't finalized until later frames are entered.
The 10th frame is special: rolling a strike or spare there earns a bonus roll, for up to three rolls total. A perfect game — 12 consecutive strikes — scores the maximum of 300.
