How to Use the Pregnancy Medical Voucher Calculator
Korea's pregnancy and birth medical expense support (National Happy Card) provides a voucher covering medical and medication costs to every confirmed pregnant person. A single pregnancy receives 1,000,000 KRW, twins receive 2,000,000 KRW, triplets or more receive 2,000,000 KRW plus 1,000,000 KRW per additional fetus, and teen mothers aged 19 or under can claim a separate 1,200,000 KRW on top of the health-insurance voucher (no multiple-birth add-on). Residents of medically underserved regions with insufficient obstetric care get an additional 200,000 KRW.
Enter the mother's age, pregnancy type, and whether you live in an underserved region to see your base voucher plus any underserved-region bonus, combined into a total voucher limit. The voucher can be used for up to 2 years after the expected delivery (or miscarriage/stillbirth) date, and can be applied for through National Happy Card issuing banks (BC, Samsung, Lotte, Shinhan, etc.) once pregnancy is confirmed.
