How to Use the Pregnancy Medical Voucher Calculator
Korea's pregnancy and birth medical expense support (National Happy Card) provides a voucher covering medical and medication costs to every confirmed pregnant person. A single pregnancy receives 1,000,000 KRW, a multiple pregnancy (twins or more) receives 1,400,000 KRW, and teen mothers aged 18 or under receive 1,200,000 KRW. Residents of medically underserved regions with insufficient obstetric care get an additional 200,000 KRW.
Enter the mother's age, pregnancy type, and whether you live in an underserved region to see your base voucher plus any underserved-region bonus, combined into a total voucher limit. The voucher can be used for up to 2 years after the expected delivery (or miscarriage/stillbirth) date, and can be applied for through National Happy Card issuing banks (BC, Samsung, Lotte, Shinhan, etc.) once pregnancy is confirmed.
