Presentation Slide Size Guide

See the standard slide dimensions for PowerPoint, Keynote, and Google Slides in pixels, centimeters, and inches. The current default across most software is 16:9 widescreen (1920×1080px / 13.33×7.5 in).

The 4:3 ratio is compatible with older projectors but most modern displays use 16:9. A4 (29.7×21cm) is ideal for printed reports. Use 1080×1080px for social media and 1080×1920px for Stories and Reels.

In Keynote: File → Slide Size → Custom. In Google Slides: File → Page Setup → Custom.

What is the default PowerPoint slide size?

Since PowerPoint 2013, the default is Widescreen 16:9 (33.87×19.05cm). Older versions used Standard 4:3 (25.4×19.05cm).

Does exporting to PDF change the slide size?
