2nd-life resale repurposes the pack for stationary energy storage (ESS) or low-speed vehicles, so its value rises with battery health — fewer years, less mileage. Recycling instead recovers raw materials like nickel, cobalt, and lithium, so its value stays relatively stable regardless of degradation.
